NEW NOTICES

YARD SALE – St. Andrew’s Ladies Group are          having a Yard Sale on April 21st from 9:00 am to 12 noon.  We are looking for good, clean used clothing, books, toys, household items, plants, shoes, purses, etc.  We can no longer accept electronic items such as TV’s, computers and computer equipment, encyclopedias, and large furniture items, as we have no way of disposing of these if they do not sell.  For more information, contact any member of the group.  Donations can be placed on the stage anytime after Sunday, April 15th or dropped off Friday, April 20th between 9 and 11 am or between 7 and 8:30 pm.

REGIONAL COUNCIL – Fort Sackville Regional Council will meet on Sunday evening, April 22nd at 7:00 pm at St. Andrew’s Church in Timberlea.  Please note change of venue.

CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETYVolunteer canvassers are needed by the Canadian Cancer Society in April. If you can help by canvassing a street in Timberlea, Lakeside or Beechville, please call Jinny Giza at 876-8510.

MEN’S BREAKFAST – The next Men’s Breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 28th at 8 am.  Three people are needed to help set up at 7 am and four people are needed to help clean up after the breakfast.  Please contact Don Schwartz at 431-4047 or email: puppadon@hotmail.com.

BLT BREAKFAST PROGRAM – Your contributions in March to the BLT Breakfast Bucket were $231.78 which included a donation from the Saturday morning men’s breakfast.  Thank you for continuing to support this worthwhile outreach program.  The next “Breakfast Bucket” will be on Sunday, April 29th at which time a representative from BLT school will attend our 10:30 morning worship to bring us an update on their “Grab & Go” program.

SOUP LUNCHEON – On April 29th following the service there will be a soup luncheon and hotdogs for the children downstairs in the hall with proceeds going to the Property Committee.  Adults $5.00 and Children $2.00.

COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW – The next Country Music Show will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at 7:00 pm.  Doors will open at 6:00 pm.  Please note change of time.

MOTHER’S DAY LUNCHEON – A Mother’s Day Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at St. Andrew’s Church from 11 am to 2 pm$5.00 will get you an awesome bowl of fish chowder or delicious turkey vegetable soup plus rolls, tea/coffee and something sweet.  There will also be an impressive selection of flowers (transplants) from Pansies to Gerber Daisies and a selection of books for sale.

REMINDERS – Parishioners are reminded to regularly check their mail boxes throughout the year; currently there are several who have not yet picked up their Easter Letters.  Also, there is a suggestion box in the entry foyer for anyone who wishes to submit a suggestion regarding any aspect of the operation of the parish.  You may sign your name or if you prefer, you can submit an anonymous suggestion.

ONGOING NOTICES

RECTOR’S OFFICE MEMORIALS – Memorial donations towards the construction costs of the Rector’s office are now being received.  Donations in the amount of $110.00 ($100 plus $10 engraving) will allow contributors to place a memorial on a plaque to be located outside the office.  There are twenty-four spaces for memorials.  Once all spaces have been filled we will dedicate the office in memory of those identified on the plaque.  If you wish to make a donation, please see either Rev. Mike or Rev. Judie.  Thank you for your generosity

CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS AND POSTAGE STAMPS – Thank you for your continuing support of two ACW projects:  Postage stamps and Campbell’s soup labels.  The requirement for stamps have been changed:  They no longer have to have ¼” margin of envelope around them; simply tear most of the envelope away, being careful not to tear the stamp.  The soup labels have to be complete and in one piece; that is, with no staples or Scotch tape.

FOOD BANK – The St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Food Bank is always in need of canned fruit, canned meat, pasta, peanut butter, jam, crackers and pudding.  They are currently running short on the following food items:  boxes of cereal, cookies, and jello. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated.
