BULLETIN BOARD
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING AND CAROL SING - Our 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Carol Sing will be held on Sunday, December 13th at 6:30 pm in the Church Parking Lot. Come and join us for an evening of fun and fellowship. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served in the hall afterwards.
CHURCH DECORATING - We will be decorating the church for Christmas on Saturday December 19th at 9:00 am. Anyone who would like to help is more than welcome. Many hands make light work!
SUNDAY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PAGEANT – The children of the Sunday School will present “Benjamin’s Top “to the congregation on December 20th at the 10:30 am service. This is the story of a little shepherd boy who feels he has nothing to give to the baby Jesus! There will be a party for the children and the congregation following the service. If you would like to help provide some sandwiches or sweets for the party, please speak to Wendy.
FLOWER MEMORIALS FOR CHRISTMAS – If you wish to place flowers in the church for Christmas, please give your information to Wendy no later than December 20th so it can be listed in the Christmas Eve Bulletin.
BULLETIN BACKUP – We are looking for someone to help with the bulletin when Wendy is unavailable. This person would be ready to jump in and take over the bulletin when Wendy is on vacation, ill, etc. You will be given the necessary tools and hopefully plenty of notice. If you are interested, please contact one of the Wardens, Rick Morash at 902-876-2389 or Keith Fraser at 902-876-2703.
REFUGEE SPONSORSHIP – The Timberlea Baptist Church has been approved to receive a Syrian refugee family of 7 (2 parents and 5 children), early in the new year. The Timberlea Baptist Church has a Facebook page called BLT Refugee Sponsorship and also a website: timberleabaptistchurch.com where you can find more information on this. The Baptist Church is looking for some help with finances, large furniture items, dining room chairs, floor lamps, an armoire, small bedroom lamps, an entertainment center, 2 large dressers, 1 bunk bed set. If you feel you can help out in any way, please contact the Timberlea Baptist Church and let them know.
ANNUAL MEETING – The Annual Meeting of the Parish will be held on January 31, 2016 with a snow date of February 7, 2016. All Annual Reports must be passed in to the Wardens by no later than January 7, 2016.
