READER’S ROSTER – I will be making up the summer reading schedule over the next week.  If you are a reader and know when you will be on summer holidays, please let me know so I won’t schedule you then.  Also, I am looking for new readers.  If you would like to read the lessons during the service, please call me at 443-4630 or email me at wendy.wells@ns.sympatico.ca

BLT BREAKFAST BUCKETApril’s contribution to the Beechville, Lakeside, Timberlea School Breakfast Program was in the amount of $150.85.  The last Breakfast Bucket Sunday until September will be on May 27th.  Continued thanks to our Parish for their ongoing support of this worthwhile and much appreciated Outreach Program.

WHO DOES WHAT“WHO DOES WHAT at St. Andrew’s Parish?”  Please note a new wall hanging at the back on the left, as you are departing the church.  It is the Parish Structure 2012, a list of the selfless volunteers who keep our church ticking.  You will note that several parishioners do more than one job, and some do several.  Our appreciation goes out to these folks, without whose help our parish would not function.  If you are so inclined to add your name, please contact one of the wardens with your offer to help.  Thank you.

PRE-AUTHORIZED REMITTANCES (PAR) – For those parishioners who may be interested, we offer the option of supporting your church by way of pre-authorized remittances.  Once enrolled in the program, the amount selected by you is automatically transferred from your bank account on the 1st or15th of each month.  Your contribution is deposited to the St. Andrew’s bank account.  This program is administered by the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.  For further information please contact the Parish Treasurer, Bev Higgins at 876-7240 or email: bev.higgins@iwk.nshealth.ca.

ONGOING NOTICES

RECTOR’S OFFICE MEMORIALS – Memorial donations towards the construction costs of the Rector’s office are now being received.  Donations in the amount of $110.00 ($100 plus $10 engraving) will allow contributors to place a memorial on a plaque to be located outside the office.  There are twenty-four spaces for memorials.  Once all spaces have been filled we will dedicate the office in memory of those identified on the plaque.  If you wish to make a donation, please see either Rev. Mike or Rev. Judie.  Thank you for your generosity

CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS AND POSTAGE STAMPS – Thank you for your continuing support of two ACW projects:  Postage stamps and Campbell’s soup labels.  The requirement for stamps have been changed:  They no longer have to have ¼” margin of envelope around them; simply tear most of the envelope away, being careful not to tear the stamp.  The soup labels have to be complete and in one piece; that is, with no staples or Scotch tape.

FOOD BANK – The St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Food Bank is always in need of canned fruit, canned meat, pasta, peanut butter, jam, crackers and pudding.  They are currently running short on the following food items:  boxes of cereal, cookies, and jello. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated.
