SILENT NIGHT PROJECT – All monies raised this morning from the “Silent Night Project” will go to the Anglican Military Ordinariate, in support of our Armed Forces Chaplains.  A compilation video of all participating churches will be made and should be on the website by Christmas Day.

SLEIGH RIDE – St. Andrew’s Ladies Group will be sponsoring a sleigh ride at Hatfield Farms in January.  More information and a sign up poster will be available shortly.

CHURCH ENVELOPES – Church Envelopes for 2011 are available at the back of the church.  Please pick yours up on your way out.  If you do not have envelopes and would like a set, please speak to Erica Orlando or phone her at 876-8396.

RECTOR’S OFFICE MEMORIALS – Memorial donations towards the construction costs of the Rector’s office are now being received.  Donations in the amount of $110.00 ($100 plus $10 engraving) will allow contributors to place a memorial on a plaque to be located outside the office.  There are twenty-four spaces for memorials.  Once all spaces have been filled we will dedicate the office in memory of those identified on the plaque.  If you wish to make a donation, please see either Rev. Mike or Rev. Judie.  Thank you for your generosity.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS – Volunteers are needed to assist with doing the following:  a) typing address labels for mail-outs and updating the Parish List; b) organizing the Sides Persons’ Schedules.  If
you are interested in either of these positions or would like more information, please contact Renee at 876-2275.

Mission to Seafarers – St. Andrew’s Ladies Group will be packing the shoeboxes for the Mission to Seafarers next Saturday, December 4th at 9 a.m.  Items we are still in need of are as follows:  scarves, gloves/mitts, socks, notepaper, envelopes, pens, shampoo, razors, soap, toothpaste, shaving cream, wrapped hard candy.  Thank you to all that have already given to this worth while outreach project.

Calendars – The 2011 Church calendars are available. Please see Wendy after church to purchase yours.  They are $5.00 each.

ONGOING NOTICES

Fall Book Study:  This fall the book study group will meet from 2:303:30 pm on Thursday, December 2 and December 9 with Rev. Mike.  A question at the forefront for many of us on our Christian journey is: Why does there seem to be so much suffering in the world?  One of the great books written in response to this question is When Bad
Things Happen to Good People by Harold S Kushner.  It is my hope that our study of this book and our discussions together will lead us, in some way, to a better understanding of this question.  Those planning to attend who haven’t already signed up, please see Rev. Mike.

The two Bible Study Fellowship Groups – Monday evenings, 7 pm-8:30 pm (1st, 3rd & 5th), and Tuesday afternoons 2 pm-3:30 pm (1st, 3rd, & 5th) will be studying the Letter to the Hebrews.  Hebrews will help us to see how the Old and New Testaments are linked, how they are two parts of the same astonishing story!  Rev. Ron will be very pleased to see you!  The Tuesday group will meet on November 30 and December 7; the Monday group on November 29 and December 6.

PWRDF; There are memorial cards for the Primates Fund on the table
at the back of the church.  They are self explanatory and a worthwhile way of remembering friends or relatives as this fund assists people around the world.

Soup Labels and Stamps:  Thank you for your continuing support.  Soup Labels must be whole, and Stamps have a least ¼” of envelope around them.

FOOD BANK – The St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Food Bank is always in need of canned fruit, canned meat, pasta, peanut butter, jam, crackers and pudding.  Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated.
