CALENDARSThe calendars are in!  If you preordered one or two, you can pick them up this morning before or after church.  They are more than half sold, so if would like one please speak to Wendy before they are all gone.  They are $6.00 each.

THANKSGIVING SUNDAY – On Thanksgiving Sunday, October 12th, please bring in food items as in the past.  All food collected will be donated to the Metro Food Bank in Halifax.  The Sunday School children will place all items on the altar during the service.  Thank you for your generosity.

MEN’S BREAKFAST – The Men’s Breakfast will restart on Saturday, October 18th.  This is a third Saturday and is a one time only.  The following breakfasts will be held on the fourth Saturdays as usual.  November 22nd is the date for the next one. They would appreciate the help of 3 people to set up and 3 people for cleanup.  For more information call Don at 431-4047 or email puppadon@hotmail.com

ST ANDREW’S LADIES GROUP – We will be having a member of the Alzheimer’s Society of Halifax speak at our meeting on November 6th at 7 pm in the Church Hall.  This is open to everyone in the parish and if you would like to bring a friend along, that would be great.  We will have a container to collect monetary donations which will be given to the Alzheimer’s Society at the end of the evening.  (This is free-will, as you don’t have to give anything.) For more information please contact Wendy or any member of the group.

UPCOMING EVENTS – The following events will take place this fall:  Turkey Supper – November 29th and Children’s Shopping DayDecember 13th.  Please mark these on your calendar and plan to attend.

LADIES GROUP – The Ladies Group has the following things planned for the fall:  Bake Sale after church on November23; Mission to Seafarers Shoe Box Campaign, Carol Sing and Tree Lighting on December 14th, Decorating Church for Christmas on December 21st.
