Rector's Weekly Report
Week Ending, Jan. 16, 2011

The snow on Wednesday provided a minor distraction during the week which otherwise was a return to normalcy after the Holiday Season. It was good to get back to a regular routine as this allowed me the time to make preparations for our upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for January 30th.

I was pleased to make contact by phone and in person with a number of our parishioners this week. It reminds me of how far the arms of our parish stretch as it is not only those we see on Sunday but many others as well, who feel part of our congregation but for one reason or another are not able to attend regular services.

It was good to get back to our Book Study on Thursday afternoon. We continue to be both challenged and inspired by the book and the discussions which result from our reading of it. Please note that we will be meeting on consecutive Thursdays, Jan.20th and 27th and Feb. 3rd at 2:30 p.m.

Please keep Jayden Parker, son of Nicole and Hazen Parker, in your prayers this week. Jayden will receive the sacrament of Holy Baptism at our 10:30 service next Sunday.
