Rectors Weekly Report

I was pleased to meet with Marilyn Hamlin, postulant in the
Non-stipendiary stream for the Vocational Diaconate. I look forward to meeting with Marilyn on a regular basis as she is formed for this ministry. I ask your continued prayers and support for Marilyn as she continues in this process.

I was pleased to make three pastoral visits at Melville lodge on Wednesday afternoon. It is always a rewarding experience to take the prayers and best wishes of our congregation to members of our parish who are residents in nursing homes or patients in hospital.

I met with the Rev. Kyle Wagner who will be with us on July 25th for a celebration of Holy Baptism. Kyle is the nephew of Bernie and Betty Conrad and the cousin of David Conrad whose son Jack David Conrad will receive the sacrament of Holy Baptism on the 25th. I would ask that you include the proud parents, grandparents and Jack David in your prayers as they prepare for this celebration.

On Thursday evening I conducted a wedding rehearsal in preparation for the marriage of Justin Myra & Amber Parsons. Following the rehearsal Tim Edwards and Ken Richardson met at the church as we looked at possible designs for the new rectors office. Many thanks to Tim and Ken for their work.

On Saturday Justin Myra & Amber Parsons were united in Holy Matrimony. I ask for your continued prayers for Justin and Amber as they embark on a new life together as husband and wife.

Blessings
Rev. Mike
